A passenger aircraft with the highest weight in the history of Slobozhanshchina “air gates” landed in International airport “Kharkiv” on 3rd, March 2012.
The flight with the route Lisbon-Kharkov-Lisbon operated with an Airbus A-310 lande in Kharkiv airport on Tuesday at 22:24. This was the largest passenger aircraft ever handled in the airport. Maximum takeoff weight of this huge aircraft is 157 tons, the capacity – 222 seats. The aircraft operated a “special” flight: on Tuesday it to Kharkiv arrived with a football team FC “Sporting Lisbon”, which will meet here in the ¼ of Europa League match with Kharkiv “Metalist”. The team players on the flight were accompanied by their Portuguese team fans and supporter. According to the route Kharkiv-Lisbon, the flight 9790 will leave on 6, April.
As it is known, International airport “Kharkiv” is one of the aviation objects of Ukrainian Euro 2012 and this year it will welcome football fans coming from different countries to support their national teams. Reconstruction of the object is in the format of public-private partnership: the reconstruction of the airfield complex – invested from the State budget of Ukraine in the amount of $191.3 million; construction of 2 new terminals, the renovation of the historical terminal building, airport landside facilities – private investments by Alexander Yaroslavsky in the amount of $107.2 million.
International airport “Kharkov” (http://hrk.aero/) – one of the key sites of the capital Slobozhanshchina, reconstructed at the present time in preparation for the finals of European Football Championship in 2012. Start of large-scale project was given April 1, 2008, when the company “New Systems AM” (a group of DCH, the owner – a well-known Ukrainian businessman, investor and general coordinator of Kharkov’s preparations for Euro 2012, the president of FC “Metalist” Alexander Yaroslavsky) won the competition for long-term rent integral property complex of Kharkov airport.
Reconstruction of the International airport “Kharkov” is in the format of public-private partnership. The total investment in the project by Alexander Yaroslavsky was $ 107.2 million (airport terminal and surrounding areas). The amount of funding allocated from the State budget for the reconstruction of the airport complex (including construction and airfield control tower) – $ 191.3 million.
