On August 28 at the invitation of the main investor of Kharkiv’s preparations for Euro 2012 Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy, the ceremony will be attended by representatives of the head of State and representatives of business and political elite of Ukraine, the aviation industry executives from around the world.

International airport “Kharkiv” (hrk.aero) – one of the most important objects of Slobozhanshchyna capital, which are being currently renovated under preparation for the finals of European Football Championship 2012. The large-scale project started on 1 April 2008, when the company “New Systems AM (DCH group, the president – well-known Ukrainian businessman, investor and general coordinator of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012 Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy) won the competition for the rental of a complete property complex of the Kharkiv airport.
The reconstruction project includes the construction of the new terminal, reconstruction of existing one, construction of a new runway and apron repair, improvement of the station square. Technological scheme of passenger services was developed by German company Airport Research Center. After completing the reconstruction Kharkiv citizens and guests of the “first capital” will use modern international airport that can take a variety of aircrafts like the aircraft type Airbus A-320 and Boeing B-737. The new terminal area of more than 20 thousand square meters will increase passenger service to 650 thousand people per year by 2011. The reconstruction of the hotel at the International airport “Kharkiv” and the creation of a modern parking lot, construction of bus terminal on the square in front of the International airport “Kharkiv” is also planned. In addition, according to UEFA requirements, offices, waiting rooms for drivers, the place of welcome, etc will be built. The project involves provision of separation of arriving fans, if such a need arises.
