On 5 June 2013 Kharkiv Airlines (the member of DCH group headed by Alexander Yaroslavsky) received the operator certificate. An application for this document was sent in February of the current year after the decision of renewing Kharkiv Airlines’ license.
Kharkiv Airlines were established in 1998 and operated till 2001. In 2008 due to inactivity, the operator certificate was withdrawn. In summer 2012 Kharkiv Airlines were bought by New Systems AM LLC and afterwards the question of passenger carriage renewal came up. According to the strategic goal of the new owner, the development of Kharkiv Airlines aims firstly at the passenger flow increase in International airport “Kharkiv” and also at the development of flight connections in Kharkiv and neighbouring destinations. Since the end of May 2013 Azovo-chernomorskaya Investment Company LLC has been the legal entity-owner of the airlines.
As previously reported, a long-range Boeing 767 and two medium-range Boeing 737-800 will be used for the summer flight program operation of Kharkiv Airlines. Firstly, the route map will be formed from charter flights operated in cooperation with tourist operator Pegas Touristic and later the regular flight connection will be organized.
