Passengers of the first capital choose air transport for their journeys overseas, and for their domestic trips more frequently.
This is proved by the latest statistics – calculations showed that this October the passenger traffic increased by 54% compared to the last year’s October and amounted to 55.2 thousand people.
Kharkiv residents and the visitors use international flights most often. Flights to Istanbul (Pegasus, Atlasglobal), Warsaw (of LOT), Kutaisi (UIA), Minsk (Belavia) and Tel Aviv (UIA) were the most popular ones in October. UIA’s flight to Kyiv is traditionally the busiest domestic route.
It is worth noting that International Airport “Kharkiv” has been showing the overall positive progress all year long – the passenger traffic grew by 60% for 10 months of 2016, as compared to the same period of the 2015. Since the beginning of the year Slobozhanshchina airport served 497,500 people. Of course, charter flights played a major role in the quantitative development. Most often charter flights took their passengers to sunny countries, therefore, routes to Sharm El Sheikh (UIA, Windrose, Azur Air, Bravo), Antalya (UIA, Windrose, Azur Air Ukraine), Dalaman (Azur Air Ukraine) and Tivat (Bravo, YanAir) were the most popular.
