Traditional monthly statistics is especially pleasing this time. The results of May 2017 showed that Kharkiv International Airport has without exaggeration begun a new chapter. A record number of passengers used the services of the Kharkiv airport this month – 84.3 thousand people! Before that, the largest passenger traffic was observed during the matches of the final part of the European Football Championship UEFA Euro 2012 in June 2012 – then the main air gates of the region greeted 80.058 guests. In comparison with the same period of 2016 the passenger traffic increased by 58% (a year ago the airport received 53.4 thousand passengers). The share of passengers on international flights was 82%.

Such an increase in passenger traffic in May was due to the active use of regular flights: to Kyiv (UIA), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Atlasglobal), Minsk (Belavia), Warsaw (LOT), Tel Aviv and Kutaisi (UIA), as well as of popular seasonal flights: to Antalya (Azur Air Ukraine, Atlasglobal, Bravo Airways, Windrose Airlines), Dalaman (Azur Air Ukraine, Bravo Airways), Thessaloniki (Ellinair).

We thank Kharkiv citizens and city guests for their trust and look forward to the new statistics, because with the appearance of the seasonal flights to Amman (Jordan), Burgas (Bulgaria), Beirut (Lebanon), Monastir (Tunisia) and Tivat (Montenegro) more passengers will entrust Kharkiv airport with the beginning of their travels – the most important and responsible part of every journey. And if you don’t have any plans for the summer yet, then just come to visit – the atmosphere at the airport is simply inexpressible, and the coffee is very tasty!
