April 24 at the International Airport “Kharkov” were full-scale exercises to ensure the safety of passengers. The aim was to determine readiness for the Euro 2012 service search and rescue flight safety, fire safety, emergency payments and other units. In addition, during the exercise were tested abilities of the airport to the emergency response and emergency incidents, as well as the ability to cooperate in these situations with the City Emergency departments and ambulance services.
As part of the exercise was a simulated emergency situation, in particular, landing with the right engine fire (5-man crew and 20 passengers). Rescue teams have successfully coped with the task of evacuating people, including six conventionally injured passengers. The exercise was attended by specialists ASC LLC “New Systems AM” (the company is the operator of the airport, is a member of DCH Alexander Yaroslavsky) and interacting institutions (Ministry of Emergency Situations and the division of the city ambulance).

The total investment in the project by Alexander Yaroslavsky was $ 107.2 million (airport terminal and surrounding areas). The amount of funding allocated from the State budget for the reconstruction of the airport complex (including construction and airfield control tower) – $ 191.3 million.
