International Airport “Kharkiv” continues to demonstrate positive dynamics of development.
After three quarters of 2016 the volume of passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 442.3 thousand passengers, thus topping last year’s results for the same period by 61%. In September 2016 passenger traffic level rose to 62.9 thousand people, which is 57% more than in September 2015.
Steady increase in the volume of passenger traffic is largely associated with the expansion of destinations of international flights from Kharkiv.
Thus, in September, the maximum load was registered on regular flights to Istanbul (Pegasus, Atlasglobal), to Warsaw (LOT), to Kutaisi (UIA), to Minsk (Belavia) and to Tel Aviv (UIA). The flight Kharkiv-Kyiv-Kharkiv (UIA) is traditionally one of the most popular domestic routes.
Charter flights play a significant role in increasing the level of airport’s passenger traffic. This September charter flights to Antalya (UIA, Windrose, Azur Air, Yanair), Dalaman (Azur Air, Bravo), Tivat (Bravo, Yanair), Thessaloniki (Ellinair) and others were the most popular.
