On 1st June 2013 Wizz Air Ukraine, the first Ukrainian low-cost airlines, operated the first flight to Kharkiv from Kutaisi (Georgia). The new Airbus A320 arrived in time with 154 passengers on board. In 30 minutes needed for airplane maintenance at the airport, the management of Wizz Air Ukraine and Kharkiv airport together with journalists were seeing off the aircraft with 164 passengers departing to Kutaisi.

Nowadays Wizz Air Ukraine operates 3 low-cost flights between Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kyiv and Donetsk) and Georgia (Kutaisi). The new flight between Kharkiv and Kutaisi is operated twice weekly – on Mondays and Fridays:
