Because of the changes on 17-19 January 2016 in the schedule of international and domestic flights, the administration of Kharkiv International Airport considers it necessary to clarify the cooperation of ground handling subdivisions and air companies.

Let us remind that the decision to change the flight departure time is made only by air companies that operate flights. In most cases the matter for such decisions is internal production reasons.

The airport is responsible before air companies for the quality of provided services. Also it takes all necessary actions to maintain the infrastructure so that all flights are operated according to the schedule. This includes technical maintenance, timely ramp handling, safety control etc.

Please pay attention that not always severe weather conditions in the airport can be an actual reason of flight delay or cancellation. Modern equipment of the airport complex allows us to serve departing and arriving flights in spite of weather conditions. In most cases the changes in the schedule are connected with internal procedures of the company and also with airspace congestion on separate route stages or with the destination airport operation.

As known in this period – 17.01-19.01 2016 one flight (Kharkiv-Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines, on 17.01) was cancelled and two flights were delayed (Tel-Aviv, UIA, on 18.01 and Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines, on 19.01).

All other flights were operated according to the schedule. On 18.01 Kharkiv International Airport worked as usual, all flights were operated according to the schedule.
