Kharkiv International Airport’s team won the Grand Prix of the 3rd All-Ukrainian Aviation Security Competition “Best in Aviation Security Profession”. Organized by Airports of Ukraine, a Ukrainian civil aviation association, the event was held in Kryvyi Rih on 5 December.

The competition comprised three stages: a theory quiz, X-ray introscope image interpretation, and airport security checkpoint practices, all of which Kharkiv International Airports team aced. The team included the airport’s Head of Security Control Kostyantyn Ankudinov, Shift Supervisor Andrii Rakhuba, Deputy Shift Supervisor Roman Popov, Chief Inspector Anastasiia Menlnychuk, and inspectors Maria Kurina and Artem Myronyuk. They were awarded a trophy, souvenirs, and gained experience in prompt resolution of security issues.

The team of Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport came second. We congratulate our colleagues and thank them for fair competition.

As reported earlier, Kharkiv International Airport operates an in-house aviation security training centre that has been preparing security specialists according to the most stringent global and national standards since 2013.
