In February 2021, passenger traffic at Kharkiv International Airport amounted to 32,500. Amid quarantine restrictions, the figure reached only 31% of the February 2020 level. International flights carried 28,400 passengers in total, and domestic ones 4,100. The airport saw 201 departures in February, 48% of the 421 in February 2020, the top destinations being Istanbul, Sharm El Sheikh, Kyiv, Kayseri, and Minsk.

Early 2021 results

 In January-February 2021, 68,200 people used airline services, passenger traffic reaching only 32% of the figure seen over the same period last year (215,000).

 The airport saw 408 departures overall in the first two months of the year, including 230 international and 178 domestic flights, against 856 over the same period last year.

Scheduled and seasonal flight launches 

 Carriers are starting to restore flights and open new routes for the holiday season. SkyUp Airlines has already started selling tickets on its renewed Odesa- (27 May) and Tivat-bound flights (Montenegro, 5 June). The carrier is also expected to open new routes: starting 29 April, scheduled flights to Istanbul (Turkey) begin, and those to Tirana (Albania) on 31 May. The tickets are already available for purchase.

 Flights to Dalaman will be added to other Turkish seasonal destinations, such as Antalya and Bodrum. They will be launched on 26 April. 

 On Bulgarian routes, SkyUp Airlines will carry flights to Burgas and, starting 12 June, to Varna.
