In October 2019, passenger traffic at Kharkiv International Airport grew by 70% to 140.5 thousand passengers. In the same period last year, 82.8 thousand people used air travel services.

In October, international air transport was used by 118.4 thousand people—85% more than in the same period last year. Domestic transportation—22.1 thousand people, which is 18% more than last October. The top destinations were Sharm El Sheikh, Antalya, Istanbul, Kyiv, Warsaw, Kraków, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Wrocław, and Dortmund.

Last month, a number of new flights were launched from Kharkiv. Low-cost SkyUp Airlines launched flights to Prague, Lviv, Kyiv, Tbilisi and resumed flights to Sharjah. The Irish carrier Ryanair launched flights to Vilnius and Poznan.

In total, the airlines cooperating with Kharkiv Airport performed 548 flights from the city. This is 47% more than in the same period last year.

In the first ten months of 2019, the airport’s services were used by 1.1 million passengers, which is 37% more than in the same period in 2018. The number of flights increased by 19% to 4,662. On 2 October the airport welcomed the millionth passenger. Other highlights of the month included the traditional Kharkiv Airport Run along the landing strip and The Garden party at Terminal C.

In October, international passenger traffic increased by 85% to 118.4 thousand people.
