9 June in Kharkiv marked the end of the prestigious International Aeroforum Routes CIS, which was first held in the CIS and which gathered the representatives of 35 states. According to the organizers, this is a serious contribution to shaping a favourable international image of Ukraine, first of all, an investment image. “Foreign visitors have seen that Ukraine is a country which is developing dynamically, and that here one can work and earn money. Those business contacts that have been established during these three days, and those agreements that have been signed between different companies will work for the future – for all Kharkiv citizens,” summed up the event Alexander Yaroslavskiy, president of the DCH group, the general investor and coordinator of Kharkiv preparation for Euro 2012, initiator of the aeroforum.

The businessman is convinced that the event will serve as a powerful impetus for the development of Ukrainian aviation market. Significant progress has been achieved already today. First of all, it concerns the flights between Kharkiv and European capitals. “We have reached agreements on flights to Istanbul, Budapest, Milan, Paris and Germany – that means, in the directions which were not previously covered. I  hope that the residents of our city will  now be able to pack their bags and fly to Paris for a cup of coffee, to go shopping in Milan and conveniently return without any plane changes,” said Alexander Yaroslavskiy.

According to the organizers, during the forum there were held more than 400 negotiations. As the Routes company believes, for the CIS this is an impressive result.

Noteworthy is the fact that thanks to the aeroforum the CIS market was for the first time entered by one of the world’s largest budget air carriers – the Irish company «Ryanair». “This has never happened in the CIS countries before. We hope that this airline will seriously enter Ukrainian aviation market, and we will get new convenient flights. The company owns a huge number of aircraft. And it is able to provide additional comfort for citizens not only in Kharkiv, but also in neighbouring regions – including the Russian ones,” stressed Alexander Yaroslavskiy.

As it was previously reported, the International Forum Routes CIS was held in Kharkiv on 7-9 June. The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov, who thanked everyone present that they have found time and opportunity to visit Kharkiv – “definitely, the capital of Ukrainian aviation industry”; as well as Alexander Yaroslavskiy who “has shown courage, found the funds, and made the reconstruction project of International Airport “Kharkiv” private.”
